A commonly asked question about tea is about if it allows you to lose bodyfat. The short answer is yes. Tea contain caffeine which has been known to allow a boost in metabolism. This is called thermogenesis, it is the process of heat production in living things. Coffee does not provide this dramatic boost however, despite containing a much higher amount of caffeine than green tea. Studies have shown that Chinese tea produces slightly greater metabolic boost than just the caffeine in it alone can account for. Jasmine tea brings a number of health benefits that coffee doesn't.
