Jasmine tea has often been described as having a ever-increasing range of upsides, the most often used claim being it's ability to allow weight loss. Indeed, there are a number of “green tea pill” products on the market which state that they allow significant weight loss upsides.
A researched study by researchers at the University of Kansas discovered that the chemical epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is usually found in tea significantly lowered the downsides of smoking and a high fat diet. EGCG is a strong anti-oxidant which has been proved in a large number of studies to have a significant number of health upsides including the prevention of the growth of cancerous cells.
