Healthy green tea is a large source of polyphenols, which are antioxidants . These have similar wellbeing properties to vitamin C. Chinese green tea contain numerous main polyphenols, although the most common chemical is epigallocatechin gallate, referred to as EGCG. This is the most active component of green tea.
Jasmine tea also contains caffeine, a major stimulant, although in much lesser quantities than can be found in other teas or than in coffee.
