Whilst there isn't exact proof of this effect, it has for centuries been believed that a little understood part of green tea's widely regarded plusses is that it can reduce the glucose-induced effects of diabetes. Tea works by controlling the amount of glucose in the blood, which should help to monitor the low blood sugar effects of diabetes.
Acai tea could be used to control the level of blood sugar in the blood and indeed has been used in this way for a huge amount of time. Many studies have implied that green tea may have the benefit of preventing the development of diabetes and, if it then develops, may prevent the advancement of the disease. People that has type 1 diabetes will produce very little insulin. Insulin is a hormone which helps to convert glucose, a number of starches, and other compounds into energy. Research has demonstrated that Chinese tea is able to adjust the levels of glucose in the blood stream, and so acts in a semi-identical way to the chemical insulin, although this is yet to be fully proven in humans.
